Christine Finn began her reporting career at sixteen and worked as a print and TV journalist.
She received a Reuters Journalism Fellowship in 1990, where she researched the changing role of the media in revolutionary Eastern Europe.
She returned to Oxford in 1992 for her undergraduate in archaeology and anthropology, and then a doctorate on the link between archaeology and poetry.
She continues to write about retro technology and is a contributor to The Sunday Times, The Guardian, Wired, Edge.org, and BBC radio.
Her book – Artifacts: An Archaeologist’s Year In Silicon Valley – celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
As one of our special guests at the first VCF-GB in 2010 we are delighted to welcome her to the 2026 event in Liverpool.
