Professor Steve Furber is an English computer scientist, mathematician, hardware engineer and Professor of Computer Engineering.
He was also hardware designer and Design Manager for Acorn Computers where he was involved in designing the BBC Micro.
He was then one of the developers of the ARM Microprocessor – the chip which is at the heart of over 99% of modern smartphones.
